Vathi Information

Vathi is a small but magnificent coastal village, at the western coast of Sifnos.

Built in a gulf, at the south-west side of Sifnos, the visitors will find Vathi’s apanemo bay (…protected by the winds), the famous and crystal clear waters and golden sandy beach. On the beach, the 17th century “Taxiarches” monasteri is situated with cells that were built by them. This is a popular place for summer weddings and baptisms! There are Local Taverns with unforgettable traditional food and International cuisine, Bakery Store, Pastry Shop, Mini Markets and Bar.

In the old times, Vathi used to be one of the famous settlements of potters called “tsikaladika”, so until today we find the traditional pottery making and selling of ceramics in the local shops.

Our VILLA COSTA studios are situated on the main road and 350 meters or 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. The area is ideal for hiking, path walking and discovering the small forest in the area. You will enjoy picking nature’s herbs such as thyme, oregano, sage, chamomile, fennel, and more.
